This game is an experimental exploration of personal and familial memory. Drawing from my own life, Disoriented Remnants intertwines fragmented recollections of my grandparents with my self-reflections on family relationships. The game examines the paradoxical dynamics of unbridgeable conflicts and interdependent attachments within a family.

During my childhood, the chronic arguments and controlling tendencies of my grandparents created a sense of lingering sadness and emotional weight. Yet, as Alzheimer's disease stripped away their ability to communicate, their aphasia and fragmented memories became a haunting echo of the love and pain that shaped our bond. This unbreakable connection, despite its complexity, remains permanently embedded in my memories—a puzzle without resolution.

By translating these emotions into interactive mechanics, the game transforms personal struggles into a universal story of navigating loss, reconciliation, and the weight of unresolved emotions.
